Miami Couple
We are pretty much out of control…potential train wrecks... but that is what makes it fun.
Miami is great when you know people, know where to go and when…stick with us.
We entertain a lot-due to our jobs and our nature so we love going to unique places and having fun experiences.

We are both from nowhere so we moved to Miami 10 years ago and never looked back.
We are fully committed to each other and to ourselves which we think is healthy.
We have our alone time, time with friends (even though we are each others best friends) and most fun-time together. I hear from my friends that relationships are boring…not if you do it right and let it come natural. Treat the other person right and don’t forget about yourself and have fun!
For us, we go out a lot to plays, music venues, the hottest new clubs after great dinners-love the seafood here. We go out a lot but don’t overspend as we know where to go, when and who to know.

I think because of our lackless upbringing we were eager to be embraced by a city-we found miami and miami found us. So we take advantage of our days and nights.

I'd love to know where you hang out and what you love to do! Email mobilespinach@mobilespinach.com businesses that you like and things you like to do and we will do our best to get you discounts from your favorite places.

Bikini NYE

December 30th, 2009, 1:50 p.m.

One of our favorite haunts of 2009 was Bardot (http://bardotmiami.com/lounge/home/) and staying true to our game we’re ushering out 2009 in the same spot we love. We have reservations with friends and we are not pretending we’re not going to dance craziness to Liset Alea who is performing live.

The Bardot was quite the speakeasy vibe this year but it has become very popular. We are both hopping that it will die down a bit and go back to normal. It may be a little bad for business but if it’s business they need its business Mobile Spinach can get them! Hit us up Bardot! We love you.

Man-welry

December 9th, 2009, 1:15 p.m.

So my honey (Girlfriend) has always tried to suggest I sport a little trinket around my neck or a shiny bulbous protuberance on my finger (No, not a wedding ring) to show how “hip” I am like so many males on the Miami scene do. I’ve resisted but just found jewelry maker Miansai (www.miansai.com) to be a tad more appealing than the gaudy junk I see hanging off the wanna-be rap stars in this town.

Get in Where you Fit In

December 2nd, 2009, 10:41 a.m.

December in Miami is the get-go month! Every morning we watch the news and plumped up Willard Scott talk about how freezing it is every where while we sipped iced lattes over fruit plates. Suckers. Anyway, it means we both get to wear very casual clothes during the day and dress to the nines when we go out. I heard The Webster just opened a roof lounge so we’ll be going there. Also, the OHWOW artist co-op has a few new artists displaying work so we’ll find that some how.

Florida is Green Too

November 22nd, 2009, 2:52 p.m.

Not only Californians are progressive when it comes to the environment. We do our part...we mulch, we use a compost bin, we separate recyclables into the correct containers. Now I want to find out how to spend organically to “Save the Planet” (Good lord I can’t tell you how happy I am I’ve not heard that in awhile. The “Planet” isn’t going anywhere people….the people, us, are the ones that need saving. Earth is gonna be here ;). Mindful Organics (www.mindfulorganics.com) provides consultation on what to buy and how to live in a way that has less impact on our environment as a whole. I’d like to stick around and live vicariously through my great, great, great, great grandkids on a somewhat clean Earth…I think this will help.

Beer Float

November 13th, 2009, 6:45 p.m.

Between storm surges in the Atlantic and a promise to no gators we are ready to do some kayaking and drinking at the same time. The Blue Marlin Fish House (http://www.bluemarlinfishhouse.com/default.html) has a kayaking tour of bars while you paddle down the Oleta River. Drinking the whole way, you end up back at the Blue Marlin on the beach for a bonfire and DJ spinning tunes. This sounds like a great way for us to spend an evening.

My Tweet is bigger than your Facebook, OMFG

November 9th, 2009, 7:25 p.m.

This is a fantastic idea and Mobile Spinach must get on the wagon…well off the wagon for this event but you know what we mean. Pacific Time (www.pacifictimerestaurant.com/) is rewarding people who Tweet and Facebook about the restaurant with free cocktails. Not a free liquid lunch but close.

Cuisine Deco

October 28th, 2009, 5:12 p.m.

Even with our vacation and basic all around “fun” fund dwindling we still find the scratch needed to eat out once a month or so. That being said our next trip, if I have anything to say about it, will be to The Cap Cod Room at The Bath Club. I have a serious seafood tooth (is that a saying?) and their menu is not so shallow (more puns anyone?). Also, I just saw a picture of the dining room and it displays some serious old school Miami flair as well as an underwater Captain Nemo feel with the long galley and circular windows….just big portals basically.

Leave Me Alone….clown… I’m trying to eat

October 21st, 2009, 2:54 p.m.

We’ve been waiting for a space like Teatro Zinzanni to open up in Miami since we visited the one in Seattle. If you haven’t been to the dinner theatre performance it’s a must, as long as you don’t mind being dragged away from your meal by a mime with a handlebar mustache in pantaloons. Prelude by Barton G. is all the presentation and fun of Teatro without the constant fear of being selected to juggle plates. Check it out http://www.preludebybartong.com/.
