There is a serious buzz about underground dinner parties and back-alley chefs whipping up specialties for randoms fortunate enough to be in the know concerning such events. The most recent I believe is called Free Range Dinning. I of course heard of this through an online newsletter and supposedly the reservations for these dinners got scooped up in less than 30 minutes (according to the online newsletter). We at the Guardian are not in the practice of “scooping” our news from other outlets so getting in touch with the founders and operators is a perquisite for actual news reporting.
