NY Female Love to even hear about new exhibits at the museum, as a little culture never hurts either! Having been in the fashion industry most of my life, fashion is a way of life for me as well- whether its shopping in bloomies on a sat, or finding a hot new boutique showcasing some new brands I have never heard of, I’m always into classics as well as trends and love to be 'in the know'.... I'd love to know where you hang out and what you love to do! Email mobilespinach@mobilespinach.com businesses that you like and things you like to do and we will do our best to get you discounts from your favorite places. |

I’ve been hearing great things about Lebanese cuisine and there for a huge amount of buzz about Al Bustan (http://albustanny.com) in Mid-town. Their website really says it all and they are more than upfront about displaying the colorful and delectable dishes they offer on their website. This is a Mobile Spinach target for sure!
As “Know it All” said above we’ve finally given up the practice of telecommuting our blogs in and sat down over a couple pops. We got along and I hope to see him at the MSTRKRFT after party show at Webster Hall. It’s going to be a blast for all you electro-music snobs out there. Since it’s after midnight we're tied in to tie one on for sure.
Dinner comes first though! I wrote about The Breslin (www.thebreslin.com) a few blogs back and will be returning there for a NYE din din with friends. Rezzies are all set and tickets bought to bring on 2010…peace 2009.
I found a monstrous plethora of vintage items online at The Loaded Trunk (www.loadedtrunk.com). The pieces are chosen by “Roni” and carefully poured over and researched before priced to sell. Items are bohemian to retro and basically a smorgasbord of originality that stems from another time. I just want to furnish my entire apartment with finds supplied from the eye of “Roni”.
Le Cirque (www.lecirque.com)has been a long standing NYC institution to all cuisine connoisseurs around the world not to mention scenesters who would rather have a good table than the finest Crème Brulee around. Last week I heard Le Cirque is opening its doors for a weekly party, which I assume will be as hard to get in to as it is difficult to get a table.
So a lot of my friends eat Turkey burgers because they say the meat is “more lean” and “better for you.” I tell them they can eat burgers, just get on a Stairmaster for Christ sakes! But, being it is Thanksgiving, I’m willing to try the New York Burger Co.’s Turkey Burger. (www.newyorkburgerco.com).
Mexican food is notoriously not the best in NYC. Puerto Rican yes but you’ve gotta head to California. Hopefully that has all changed with the opening of La Lucha (www.laluchanyc.com). It’s supposedly a hole-in-the-wall in a good way. As in the smallest places tend to have the best fare.
This weekend we’ll be trying Maialino (http://maialinonyc.com/) in the Gramercy Park Hotel. Roman cuisine has been popping up all over the city lately and this is the most recent installment from Danny Meyer. The meats on the menu are amazing and perfect to put on that much NOT-needed winter coat.
Ever since getting ripped off buying a dime bag of bad weed in high school and eating an entire bag of Rold Gold pretzels I’ve kinda been a fan of the twisty doughy salty treat. Even without the dirt pot and a bad headache an hour down the road I can still go for fresh pretzels and what better place to find them than NYC. I’m excited to hit up and hopefully sign as a Mobile Spinach client the Sigmund Pretzel Shop (http://www.sigmundnyc.com/). The pictures are making my mouth dry up from the salt!.
I’ve always been a big numero uno fan of Saul (http://www.saulrestaurant.com/), which is Michelin rated…kind of a big deal amongst us foodies. So Saul, who created Saul, and Ben Daitz have opened The Vanderbilt (http://thevanderbiltnyc.com/). I cannot wait to try this place and it’s reasonably priced. Check out the menu… http://thevanderbiltnyc.com/. My next mission I chose to accept: Sign Vanderbilt as a Mobile Spinach client so I can get even cheaper food!
So the title of my blogoshere addition here is Love to Eat so I’m sticking to my knife and fork. Corsino just opened up in the West Village and I’m ready to rock it. NYC has no shortage of Italian eateries so I’m ready to see if this one will be set apart from the rest. I’ve only been reading about the décor so far but I’ve been reading a lot so the food better live up to its surroundings.
