San Francisco Couple From different countries but ended up together in SF. We live in SF and if you have been here you know why. We have been married to 3 years and love to experience what SF and the Bay has to offer. We submit to food as it rules our lives-we eat to taste not to survive. We cook a lot: whether its making our own pate, bacon, or roasting a suckling pig we love it-(that is a lot of pork no that I think of it), love to try new restaurants and frequent our favs. We don’t care if a restaurant looks good – we care how the food tastes-end of story as the palette never lies. We go out to eat twice per week and twice per weekend usually. The weekday ones are our usual suspects and we like to explore and try new places on the weekends. There is so much just in SF-even in the neighborhoods we have yet to try-shame on us-it is like we are punishing our tongues! We like to go on nature walks and have some romance in the forests…tmi I know but its natural-that is where this civilization came from. We go to Napa and pretend like we are rich and drink too much wine and drive slowly home and pick out our future home. There are so many things to see in and outside of SF that every weekend is like a holiday. Our yeah, we also love movies, art openings, tried to see Wicked in LA and the NutCracker in SF and it was the best nights sleep I have ever had. Ok, back to food. We love to walk around and get dessert at local bakeries too. So that is us, food, movies, travel, no particular order and repeat. I'd love to know where you hang out and what you love to do! Email mobilespinach@mobilespinach.com businesses that you like and things you like to do and we will do our best to get you discounts from your favorite places. |

KYOTO SUSHI
1233 Van Ness Avenue

http://www.kyotosushi-sf.com/
Kyoto Sushi and Kyoto Noodle Express offer some of the finest Japanese cuisine in the Pacific Heights and Polk Gulch area. The establishment located on the VanNess corridor is bright and friendly.
Kyoto keeps up with the sushi game offering rolls like California and the 49ers but ups the anti with adventuresome inventions like the Crazy Horse (tuna, hamachi, salmon, avocado & tobiko), Honeymoon (snow crab, unagi, avocado & tobiko) and the Lava Roll (spicy Cal roll topped with salmon jalapeños and cilantro). If sushi isn't your thing, you can still enjoy a variety of other Japanese classics like teriyaki tempura, and daily and seasonal specials.
Set aside a spicy tuna chunk of time to order because reading the menu is almost as enjoyable as the cuisine and you’ll be salivating over every possibility.
Also, to make time move faster while you’re reading your menu, they serve $.99 Sapporo all day. And if you are dining late, they are open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
We love the café scene all around the world. We still read and sip tea and coffee and meet interesting people and have political discussions. We also bring our laptops and gossip and watch YouTube (earphones in of course, it is a café, not a bar) and swap playlists.
The one thing that disappoints about coffee shops and cafés in San Francisco, or the Untied States, is that unlike European cafes, many establishments do not serve beer and wine. Caffeine is good for working but nothing stimulates conversation after finishing your work like some alcohol in one form or another.
Enter, Café Ponte offering the beer and wine option to it’s patrons who’ve become too much like wandering Tenderloin crack addicts from the mass overload of caffeine.
Here’s the Mobile Spinach deal we’ve landed:
Cafe Ponte in Noe Valley has Half Price Beer & Wine w/ slice of homemade pizza or chicken pot pie
Café Ponte
Deep in the cortex of Noe Valley, homemade ingredients are poured on pizzas and pounded into dough before first light at Café Ponte. Bread made onsite each day dress an array of delectable sandwiches. Baked treats, both healthy and scrumptious, are kneaded every morning for hyper-local patrons and destination coffee seekers.
Café Ponte is a café worth frequenting in a city bursting with coffee beaneries and wireless hotspots. To smooth out the caffeine wobblies, Ponte also hosts a plethora of beer and wine choices. Now you can achieve that sought after mythical state
So she’s told me over and over again that we are saving money and there will be no gift giving this Valentine’s Day. I might be seriously “un-right” in the head if I actually thought there was a chance that might be true. I’m leaving out the jewelry but going to blow her away with my floral selection. I might even get her to “put out” once I tell her about my Mobile Spinach discount.
San Francisco Florist offers 20% off or free delivery in SF & bag of rose petals on orders of $90 or more

We love burritos, taco, enchiladas, tortas and everything in between. Oh, and tostadas, tostadas and the best.
There’s no better place in the Bay Area for Mexican food that the Mission. Well maybe there are arguably better places but geographically, no where is there such a massive influx of burrito and taco joints in SF or the surrounding area.
Two of the shops that are renowned as “The Best”, I mean how many Mexican food joints in the Mission can afford to make their own commercial unless they are the best, are Pancho Villas and El Toro Taquerias. They both have the same owners and they both churn out some top-notch carnitas e pollo!
Right now Mobile Spinach Members will get $2 off any burrito at both El Toro and Pancho Villas Taquerias.
We like the straight forward deals the best. None of this “Bring a friend” or “buy four entrees and get one free”. Simple, cut and dry: $2 off what you want!
We both work downtown San Francisco in the FiDi and lately we can both rattle off a list of many things we would rather do than squeeze onto a crowded Muni bus at 5:20 pm. For example, getting run over by the Muni bus sounds much more delightful. One of the only things that aid us in our gallant defiance of that Petri dish of public transportation known as Muni is that we have a local hang out called Elephant and Castle (www.elephantcastle.com). Sadly we have no week day Mobile Spinach discount available with the bar/eatery right now but come Sunday it’s a great place to hunker down in the rain and take in the playoffs. Especially with this special:
SF/dining: Elephant & Castle has the NFL Sunday Ticket and enjoy all day happy hour specials on food & beverage
Go here to get it on your phone: http://mblspn.com/qz47VOTA/
According to the “About” page on Ziryab Mediterranean Grill’s website, Ziryab was “an 8th century courtier who spent most of his life serving the royal Arab empire in Andalusia , Spain. Ziryab’s contributions to civilization were many: not only was he a prolific musician, he also revolutionized the arts of fashion, personal grooming, and fine dining.” Sounds like Bob Dylan, Tom Ford, Vidal Sasoon and Martha Stewart all rolled into one bad ass dude. My guess is that he grilled up some mean Tabouli and Kababs.
Here’s the Mobile Spinach deal we have going down right now:
Ziryab Mediterranean Grill offers one free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees

As-Salamu Alaykum San Francisco!
The Mobile Spinach Clift Hotel (www.clifthotel.com) discount is getting a great turn out! This is one of our favorite hotels and we love that people are taking advantage of the saving Mobile Spinach has acquired at this looking-glass version of a classic hotel. I will never get tired of sitting the gy-normous Phillip Stark looking dining chair in the lobby or slinking down the purple-clad hallways holding hands back to our room. Come stay here with this deal!
• Clift Hotel offers 20% discount on best available rate (black out dates Dec 31, Jan 10-13).
We’re going to enjoy heading out this NYE even though the rain is supposed to come down in droves and that makes standing out and finding a cab all the more difficult. We are continuously working on finding a Towncar service that would like to take advantage of the Mobile Spinach database to garner more business and return clients. Please! We’ll use it all the time! The San Francisco premier car agency is Bauers and that would be a dream come true for us Mobile Spinach freaks.
Rest assured MS Members, we are working day and night on this as we’d like to have a discounted car service as much as you!
If you are associated with a car service please let us know and get us in the front door! Happy New Year everyone…
So belly dancing is not really stripping right? Even if I rock translucent heels? So inappropriate to even compare to the art of belly dancing. Andrea Belly Dance is something my girlfriends and I have been wanting to try for along time…oh, this is the female half (better half) of the San Francisco Couple. I went in scored a Mobile Spinach deal for us and every other woman in SF that’s been dying to wear a belly chain and not be on their senior trip to Mexico. Here’s the deal and the website below:
www.andreabellydance.com
I'm not really sure how to categorize this one but its pretty cool.
Andrea is a great girl and awesome belly dancer who has been dancing for over 10 years at special events and teaching dance classes.
The classes are both fitness and dance oriented. If one person registers, their friend can register for half off the 8 week course. The cost of an 8 week course is $75.
If you want to hire her and have her shake your way for a special event the cost is $250 but she is offering $50 off through mobile spinach.
Book her an event and get a 30 minute free group lesson which can be used at any time.
Contact her via her site www.andreabellydance.com and get the night started.
