Why the name Mobile Spinach?
The short answer is that we are from San Francisco…so that should explain 80% of the reason why. The real answer is that we want to inject energy into your lifestyle by finding you great things and great deals that you won’t find anywhere else. Just like the famous cartoon character who gets a boost of energy when he ate his Spinach out of a can, we like to think we do the same for you, except without the can, and instead on your mobile phone. Mobile Spinach is good for you!
Why are you doing this?
We wanted to create a new way to provide people like you to find something unique among all the clutter of mass market advertising. We feel that connecting local businesses to their community is worthwhile, especially when it is timely and relevant. We want to create a high integrity experience for both people and businesses to connect that respect everyone’s privacy and wishes. We also want to put more a human element behind businesses and their announcements by incorporating our Tastemakers who are your friends and neighbors finding you the best and most interesting stuff out there in real world instead of online.
What kind of businesses are here?
We currently have local businesses that cater to people’s lifestyles. You will find the best restaurants, shopping, hotels, clubs, events, gyms, spas, and more on Mobile Spinach. We are always adding great new businesses and expanding the categories of businesses on our service. So check back often!
Will joining cost me money?
No. It is completely free to join Mobile Spinach and use our service. However, when you receive text messages and access coupons from us on your mobile phone, you may incur SMS and/or other data charges from your wireless carrier. We recommend that you subscribe to your carriers high usage or unlimited text messaging and data use plans to minimize your costs of receiving information from Mobile Spinach to your mobile phone. However, you can completely control when, where, how and if at all you want to receive deals and alerts from us on your mobile phone. You can receive information from us via email, and only receive text messages or WAP based content to your mobile phone when you want. You are completely in control and we purposely designed it that way to empower you. And, we only send you deals and discounts that you sign up for to your mobile phone, so in turn you will actually be saving money by taking advantage of these mobile discounts! This is exactly the point of Mobile Spinach!
Can I leave Mobile Spinach when I want?
Yes, absolutely. Anytime that you want to leave Mobile Spinach, just email our customer support at mobilespinach@mobilespinach.com and we will remove you from our service. It may take a few days for our databases to update that you have left Mobile Spinach, so it is possible in the meantime that you may receive emails or text messages from us in the meantime. However, we always strive to improve this process and respect your wishes.
Will I get ads from Big Mega Brand X?
No. We will not have big mega brands advertise to your cell phone. We want to connect unique lifestyle businesses to you. These are mostly local businesses that you can see and walk into directly…not some nameless and faceless mega corporation.
What else will I get on my mobile phone?
Only deals and offers. We will not send out general non-deal or non-offer based announcements to your mobile phone.
Can I recommend XYZ business?
Yes, absolutely. If there is a business that you know and love, that you think would be great to have on Mobile Spinach. Please feel free to refer them to us at mobilespinach@mobilespinach.com.
How often do you have new deals?
We are adding new deals and advertisers as fast as we can, so stay tuned for new updates!

What is Mobile Spinach?
Mobile Spinach features exclusive deals on the best stuff to do, see, eat, and buy in your city. Our deals are vouchers. You can’t find these deals (vouchers) anywhere else.
What is a voucher?
A mobile voucher is money. Actually, it’s better than money because you are buying something at a discount. For example: if a merchant has products or services that cost $20, then you can buy it for $10 or less on Mobile Spinach. You can use this voucher when you want and get something for $20 when you only paid $10 for it!
If I like a deal - how do I get it?
Just click "BUY" before the deal ends. Here's how Spinach works: 1. sign up for an account. 2. choose your preferred categories, your contact preferences, and shop our deals page. 3. when deals fit your profile, you can buy them right on your phone. Give us 24 to 48 hours to go and negotiate these deals for you with these merchants. At this time, your credit card will be held and NOT charged. If the merchant approves your purchase, then we will charge your credit card and let you know. If your request has been denied, it’s ok as we didn’t charge your card. We will notify you within this time with your voucher and a “congrats, your deal has been approved!” or “sorry, you have been denied but… we will keep trying for you!” 4. when you are ready to use the deal just show the merchant (bartender, receptionist, server, etc.) the message on your phone and they’ll give you your exclusive deal. You have the control.
Is there a min of ppl that need to buy?
No. But there is a time limit and a limit to how many products/services are available so be decisive! The more you share the deal with your friends, the better your chances on getting the deal approved. If the deal was not approved, then the deal is canceled, and you won't be charged. Better luck next time!
When can I use my voucher/deal?
Any time you want. None of our vouchers/deals expire.
I bought a voucher - how do I use it?
Once you're charged, you'll receive an email with a link to sign in and go to your mobile wallet. In your wallet you press redeem. Then you show your mobile money/voucher to the place of business. Do not print. We are Mobile Spinach not Paper Spinach.
Use the full value of the Voucher?
Yes. Unless otherwise stated you do not receive store credit or cash back for whatever you don't use. Maybe you can bring that special someone with you to help spend it!
Combine my Voucher with other offers?
No.
Am I billed as soon as I buy a Voucher?
No. You are only charged if the Voucher gets approved.
Can I return a Voucher?

Voucher for a biz - now out of business?
If anything happens that makes it impossible for you to redeem your Mobile Spinach Voucher, we'll make sure you get your money back.

Why do we have so many deals/vouchers?
When you're looking for stuff to do, having options are important. Everyone has different passions and lifestyles so we try and create a nice menu for everyone to enjoy. All of our deals can’t be beat so we give you the choice.

Privacy
Is my contact info kept confidential?
Yes. We never give out your contact information or your cell phone number to anyone. Our platform completely anonymizes your contact information.
Will I get calls from telemarketers?
No. You will not get calls from telemarketers as a result of joining Mobile Spinach. Mobile Spinach does not work with telemarketers and never will. We can’t control or prevent telemarketers from contacting you if they find your contact information from other sources; however, we will never be the cause of that.
Do you track my cell phone location?
No. We do not track your cell location. We don’t want to do that, and we don’t have the technology to do that. We can track what mobile phone coupons you use and when you use them. This information helps us know what deals you like to use, so that we can improve the quality of the deals we send you in the future.
Will you spam my email?
No, No, & No. We never spam. Mobile Spinach is a fully opt-in service that complies with the U.S. CAN-SPAM laws. Our advertisers will never call you. Mobile Spinach will never call you, unless you call us for customer support and request that we call you back. Mobile Spinach respects your privacy, and places paramount importance on maintaining the integrity and ethicalness of our services. To that end we strive to continuously reduce the number of text messages the users see. You will be in complete control of how much or how few text messages you want to receive. Our philosophy is that the less you hear from us the better…that way when you do receive information from us, that you know its something unique and worthwhile.
What if I want to stop receiving SMS?
Yes, you can do that too. You can use the preferences page to opt-or, or you can email our customer support at mobilespinach@mobilespinach.com and simply put “stop receiving SMS” in your subject line and you will be removed from our text messaging lists. You can re-add yourself to these lists at anytime by emailing our customer support or using the preferences page.
Why do you ask me all these questions?
Many of these questions at sign-up are optional. They simply help us better match what you want with what offers and deals we have. You can fill them out when you subscribe, or do it later; and you can edit them at any time. The only information that we require from you is your email so that you can subscribe.
Do I have to give you my cell phone #?
No. This is completely optional. You do not have to provide this. However, many of our deals and offers are only provided to your mobile phone. If you want to receive these deals then you need to provide a mobile phone number to contact you.
Is Mobile Spinach safe?
Yes. Your credit card number is transmitted by SSL directly to a secure electronic vault. At no time is your credit card information stored on our servers.
